The Shockbuster GFCI 5-Outlet Adapter is used to provide ground fault circuit interruption to any wall outlet. UL Recommends Regular Testing of GFCIs, Senses electrical danger and shuts off the power before it can harm you. This easy-to-use Plug-In GFCI Adapter fits any standard 3-wire outlet and provides instant GFCI protection. It immediately detects ground fault from damaged cords or exposure to water, and shuts off power to avoid electrocution. Use with wet/dry vacs, electrical lawn mowers, tools, sump pumps, etc. Great Indoor/temporary outdoor protection in the garage, basement, bedroom, yard, deck, shop, kennel and more.... Electrical outlets near water sources like sinks, tubs and laundry appliances, as well as all garage and outdoor outlets, should have a ground fault circuit interrupter GFCI). These are the outlets with the "test" and "reset" buttons. A GFCI works by monitoring the flow of electricity through the outlet's circuit. If there is any variation in the current, the GFCI will automatically cut off the flow of electricity, preventing injury.GFCIs are inexpensive and provide the best protection against electrical hazards, and we strongly recommend using them in your home or business.
